properties are nothing, if they have not received the movement by a proceeding spirit and this spirit is the workman who works under the orders of the creator, who is our great and divine alchemist. It is on this proceeding spirit that the operations rest. generatives it is he who is our philosophical stone, the transmuter of our metals; it is this universal spirit which unites with the body and which attracts the soul of life.
