10 of Swords (Rebirth) - OSHO ZEN

We start out as delusioned camels in the mist of our peers...lacking energy after trying to appease the group with our lock-step actions and orthodox speech. We are more concerned with how we will be viewed by others instead of focusing in ourselves and our health.

After time like this....some will not be satisfied with following the group's lead anymore but wish to go on it alone...free....as a roaring lion...making your own rules and living by your own standards. Given this freedom away from the herd, you will notice your true self will emerge and replace both previous forms into your true self...a balance of the camel and the lion. This card is called "Rebirth" and deals with the frustration of being one of the 'yes men' along with straying too long outside any social support group.

Julie's painting titled "Osmosis" also fits this 10 of Swords breakthrough....

See the pack of women...same makeup...same facial expressions...different colored clothes, but same designs...and facing the same direction. They have all become each other...the GROUP...simply by "Osmosis"...or being close to one another in thought, view, actions, beliefs.....to the point that they no longer have their own thoughts, views, actions, or beliefs...but instead SHARE that from the GROUP. All are now 'CAMELS'.....

...save ONE !!

She has left the pack. She has seen the error of giving up here self worth and love. She has broken away as the 'LION'....radiating out her own thoughts, views, actions, and beliefs as if a lioness roaring into the valley for all to hear ! And when she's done rebelling from the old system...she will be calm and rational...and again will rise to a higher self awareness as the 'child'...

...or true self.
Be the Lion (and break from the pack)!
Be yourself for once...as a Child !
