Although not in the same league as some of the other Day of the Dead artifact photos I've placed here at the Temple, this Old Folk Art wooden mask is no less wonderful a demonstration of both the reverence for and sincerity of dedication to the beliefs of its maker.

This Old Folk Art work was hewn from solid hardwood through use of a hatchet and various sized chisels. The brown-colored fur of an antelope was applied for scalp and chin garnishment and cured hide/skin was used for Lucifer's horns.
