Well, it's always a pleasure, sis!

I am also going to be a little absent over the next few days, as you say, one has to do all the things that make things tick on all levels ~ though I am going to just listen to the meditational music for another couple of hours before I take Phoebe, my canine companion, for a walk later on.

Beautiful pieces dearest Xena!  Apologies for being absent!!  I have had a busy few days here and seem to have little time for anything I enjoy doing!!  Oh the stresses of day to day life and work!!  LOL

And house hunting too on top of it all!!  lol

A little oasis of calm here to come and sit and be a while...thank you honey :)

Your piece below about the different sides of the globe is true...we have spring time here now and daffodils are appearing all over the place :)  Thought I might share some with you all.

It's fascinating to observe the shift over time in people's perceptions of Deity.

Isis is portrayed somewhat differently in Graeco-Roman culture as compared with the Ancient Egyptians, as can be seen in the video below.

Both Rome and Greece heavily influenced the late dynasty rulers of Egypt; and towards the end of the classical period. took a direct role in the governance and religious affirs of the Land of the Pharoahs.

The essential qualities of Au-Set (the traditional Name of Isis, meaning "Lady of the Throne") remain unchanged, it is simply that different cultures have interpreted the Goddess in different ways ~ almost an evolution of Worship shaped by the hand of humankind.

Certainly, modern Goddessians will practice the worship of Goddess rather differently to our Ancestors ~ everything changes, though, except for the true nature of Goddess, which is as constant and unchanging as it is unfathomable.

As the seasons change, and the Winds start to blow in a different direction, one thing stays the same, and that is, the loving precence of the Divine Feminine in all living things.

The reason I am bringing this up, is that for those living in the Southern hemisphere, it is now the time of reflection, and the gathering of the bountiful harvest. We call this point on the Wheel, Mabon; whereas in the northern hemisphere, things are warming up fast, and the fresh new blossoms of Spring are emerging in all the colours of the rainbow.

I enjoy relating to Goddess people who live on the opposite side of the globe, as I find that by doing so, it lends balance to my spirituality as I go with the flow and celebrate both endings and beginnings with Goddess.

So after all that, I would like to wish each and every one here, a truly Blessed week of celebrations, whether it is in the spirit of Oestara, or Mabon. 

Our Ancestors always celebrated the Cycles of the seasons, and are proud and happy to see that the old Ways are still being honoured by we who are lucky enough to be blessed with the Love of Goddess in our lives.
