Actually, Neith, Isis, Serket and Nephthys are the four Goddesses who guard over the recently-deceased and thus the Goddess is the ultimate protector, though She is best known as a healer of poisonous stings and bites and was always invoked for that purpose.

The Scorpion is symbolic of great danger and harm, and also has the power and ability to undo the harm and heal it.

The ability to heal the damage caused by others - spiritual, magickal and physical poisons - and to channel raw energy for either harmful or beneficial aims, is a trait of the Scorpion Goddess.
