Hi Pepper ~ Lilian Too says that if it's a rainy day, or cold and overcast weather, wear something Yang; when it's hot and sunny, wear darker clothes. This actually has a subtle effect on the senses- you know, it's the small things that count sometimes- and it has a wonderfully balancing effect which tends to rub off on others in the area I find.

I was listening to some of my favourite music just now and then found this version of one of my favourite chants ~

Beautiful, isn't it? (listening again)). 

I couldn't help but intercept a little thought I had flitting across my mind when I noticed the subtitle "Chants for women"

Now initiates into our tradition will know what I am going to say and have generally satisfied their own minds on the sometimes ~ touchy subject of male seekers getting involved in Goddess spirituality.

My take on this briefly  ~ Well, everyone is unique and we all have a unique balance between male and female energies- Yin and Yang ~ that we alone are happy with.This uniqueness can never ever be the same as anyone, or anything, else's.

As one goes along the path of the Goddess, and discovers that there is a goddess within as well as a god; everything superficially "gender-centered" becomes really quite ridiculous.

Spirit knows no gender, and is, at will, both female and male and in-between.

Often, males will be attracted to female Gods, and this reflects on a basic need to complement one's polarities. Many women love the Goddess, but neglect their Inner Yang!

And this is all on a spiritual level. Does anyone really and honestly suppose that the Divine is exclusively female or male, or discriminates on that basis ?

In all ancient Pagan traditions, the Divine was portrayed in many different ways, to appeal to unique individuals . 

And it is true that without the Yang, the Yin would remain static.Without the Yin, there would be no Yang. This is a universal truth and applies to all forms of Nature spirituality. It is the way things work in the natural universe, and finding the balance within is the key to spiritual advancement.

Goddesses often manifest in male form, and vice versa. Actually many Goddesses are portrayed as Androgynous as this reflects the Macrocosmic reality.

Indeed, the painful ego-centered obsession of certain "spiritual" people on gender and (still, believe it or not) the colour of a person's skin; or which country they come from; both humours and frustrates.Its all just so mundane-hypocritical, this gender/difference obsession that some have.

The essential balance within must be re-discovered; so part of the Goddess journey is to fully accept one 's shadow, or opposite number.

To discriminate against women's only traditions is just as silly. Of course women need to enjoy women's only rites at times ~ even eunuchs cannot give birth, or feel the same as a menstrual female with the tides of mother Moon. It's just not possible, even with transgendered people, to fully "be and feel" another gender; and we were created in these outer, superficial bodies for a purpose and a reason this time round.

So there is a place for everyone under the Moon; and indeed, Ganesh, Lucifer/Shiva/Saturn and Sin would concur possibly that to be born a male does not exclude one from living in the silver more than in the gold. Can't help but wonder just what Amaterasu, Quan-Yin and Tara may have had to say about it all?
