Black Isis

As it's the eve of Mabon here in the Southern hemisphere, the energies around are reminiscent of the Goddesses of waning and decline as we head into winter.

Goddesses to honour at this time are Demeter, Nephthys, Black Isis, who is the precursor to the Black Madonna; and the Crone Goddess of many Names.

Demeter and Persephone, upon Persephone's annual ascent into the glories of the Spring-time from the Underworld, where She reigns as Queen for the barren half of the year.

Speaking of Muses ~ we are  blessed with access to all learning, at the turn of the Key called Will and, having access to it, one finds there's only so much we can actually express in words. And there is more than can be explored in a single lifetime, within !

I'm beginning to grasp what Lao Tzu meant when he said:

"In pursuit of knowledge, every day something is added.

In the practice of the Tao,

every day something is dropped"

and,

"The more you know, the less you understand" 

Often, a phrase or a few lines from a book can be the trigger one needs to unlock a treasure trove of knowledge  which if applied correctly, becomes wisdom through experience.
