The Goddess Ereshkigal is the Queen of Seven Hells, and the dark aspect, or sister, of the Queen of Heaven, the beautiful Goddess Inanna.

Ereshkigals' Name means "Lady of the Scented House", and the Dark Goddess is the great-ancestress of other death goddesses such as, Goddess Morgan Le Fay.

The fear of Death is almost as powerful a deterrent to advancing through our own abilities as the true overcoming of jealousy is.

As we are really reflections of what is Above, we are within ourselves infinite universes of unparalelled and majestic beauty, and the key to the Mysteries is said to be neVer found without, but only within.

That's why we can't copy anyone else, or get anywhere by pretending we are whaat we aren't` as the Goddess can't be fooled so easily, unlike , it was believed, Enki succeeded in ~ in a patriarchal version of the Tale of the ascent through the Seven Chakras, each guarded by the Annunaki deities who serve the majestic Queen of the Night.

Ereshkigal is the Lady of the Savannahs, the golden plains of Africa; of the sultry  Night and the celestial Darkness which arrives as Nephthys closes the veils of sunlight, revealing the darkness as it really is; and Bastet opens her luminescent gaze with orbs as bright as Antares ~ SHE is the Crone Mother who knows all of the dead.. 

The Crone IS Darkness, the black velvet of outer space, and the space in-between the pinpricks of light which adorn the heavens as jewels between her satin toes. Ereshkigal is woman beyond motherhood, Wisdom itself ~ the Goddess who has been everywhere and done and seen everything.

Ereshkigal paints the sky with a brush of creation and stirs the Magickal Cauldron into which the old things disappear and reappear anew; and teaches that every process has beginnings, ripening, fruition and a death. Death is everywhere and we all experience many of them on the way. The deaths of family, friends and relatives, the death of animals and plants, of friendships and of associations, the conclusion of a project at work or the final stroke of the paintbrush on the artist's canvas, all are deaths whether large or small.

Understanding this, that death is as natural as life itself, and thus truly being able to see past the illusion of fear and all and any fear-based ideologies which stunt our spiritual growth, confuse us and detract from our self-created destiny.

These teachings remove us from our dark selves, the shadow and the divine goddess within. Who can speak against the order of things?

For every ending there is a beginning, and for every male there is a female. Every female has a male within just as every male comprises of both sexes. The gender of a person has nothing to do with spirituality; and a Mother does not turn away one child in favour of another, choose sides, or forget one child and favour the other. 

The infinite sea of potential is within of every woman from whom all life originates; as the light of any creation comes from within of the darkness within darkness, the Great Mother of Maiden, Mother, Crone, Harlot and Empress ~ The Triple Goddess.
