Maha-Kali~Maha Kala Yantra

Welcome to the group!

The worship of the Goddess and God of Nature is incomplete without the embracing of both Yin and Yang; female and male; Night and Day, Water and Fire. A balanced spiritual seeker will know that it is within that balance that eternal happiness, contentment and prosperity on all levels manifests.

Most Gods were actually Goddesses originally ~ and as the God comes from within the Goddess; Light from Darkness; this group is here for those who understand the working of Nature, where all is equal and nothing is above any other.

The God is the consort, brother, child, husband and other half of the Great Goddess, who was First; and we are here to honour this Perfect Androgyny in male form.

Our God of Many Names is not the authoritative, stern male god of the patriarchy; rather , we venerate the Divine Masculine Principle of the Universe as the complementary Light side of the infinite Darkness in masculine form.

Blessed Be X

Horns can be tusks, too:)

Lord Ganesh is the love child of Shiva and Parvati, their first born child.

When Parvati tired of Shivas' ascetism one day,

as He was in exile, and living a solitary existence,

high up in a cave

on the snow-driven slopes of Mount Annapurna;

having only a diet of cannabis and Yoga to sustain Him

in His endeavours as He travels to distant worlds

creating and destroying all things in their turn

Parvati summoned him with her love

and the whole universe trembled and shook

the instant they embraced

holding each other's souls in their hearts

creating all life in abundance

in Love ~ for ever more

Om Gang Ganapatye Namo Namah

Invoke the Lord's presence in your life, and receive many blessings of abundance in return,

with much love and joy from the Child of the Goddess

Invoke Lord Ganesha to destroy all obstacles to personal growth and spiritual advancement!

"One wonders how much the ancient Gauls and Britons knew of Astrology; because the particular attribute of Cernunnos in Celtic art is the Serpent with a ram's head.

Now, the Ram's head is the emblem of Aries , the sign of the Spring equinox; while the serpent is one of the emblems of Scorpio, which astrologers call the natural ruler of the House of Death., and which is the sun sign at the time of Halloween, the Celtic Festival of the Dead.

Both Aries and Scorpio are ruled by Mars, the planet which is so much the emblem of male virility that it's symbol is used by naturalists for that purpose, to indicate the masculine gender."

~ Doreen Valiente

(Note that these festivals are reversed in the Southern hemisphere)

Paula, hi!

It isn't odd at all in my humble opinion., as a female practitioner of the Magickal Arts will gravitate towards the Yang energies which are of the God in order to supplement her polarities, just as a male will generally resonate with the Divine Feminine to achieve the same harmonic balance.

Personally, I find It really is calming and invigorating to worship and work with both masculine and feminine as well as androgynous Deities. Naturally it's all up to the individual and I really feel that one must be guided by one's inner voice in these matters.

Spirit knows no gender, and it 's what makes us happy that counts ~

.

I experience Cernunnos as a great horned Dragon :)

Blessed Be

Thanks, Chisolm!

Very interesting. To me, it proves yet again that we all have the same common origins. Please try again to post the pics, I would really like to see them :)
The Ram, as one of the most fertile of the animals, is symbolic of the Horned God and is to be seen all over the world, portrayed in various ways by people of unique cultural backgrounds.

Well it does seem as if we can't post any pics in the group this morning, so I will wait until later to post some more pics and descriptions of the Golden Ram of ancient Iraq.

In the context of the Mysteries, the Ram's head and horns symbolise enlightenment.
Classically in Africa, the God is of the Heavens and the Goddess of the Earth ~ Mama Afrika, the Great Goddess of many Names.

This is the same way in Taoism, where the Yang is of the heavens ~ Air and Fire ~ and the Yin is of the Earth and Waters.

Blessed Be,
and have a great day, brother :).
