I have heard of Karuna Ki Reiki a long time ago. I got to look more into what it is all about. Hmm, accupressure. Thanks Patricia Fross. I do enjoy working with the chakras, meridians.

According to Traditional Chinese Energy Medicine, the meridian system is made up of fourteen major invisible pathways or channels that transport energy throughout the body. Some see this vital life force as being electromagnetic. The meridians are like a network of energy streams flowing through the body. Twelve of these meridians are duplicated on the right and left sides of the body.

In addition, there are two primary flows..one is thethe Governing Vessel‐‐ goes down the back of the body starting from the insides of the eyebrows down to the toes.

The other is the Conception Vessel which runs down the front of the body. The meridians along with the chakras of the body allow you to connect with the consciousness of the universe. 

Each of these meridians is associated with different emotions. Your energy flows freely through the meridians to every cell in your body when you are healthy and in a balanced state. If you are ill or emotionally ill, the energy stagnates, producing imbalance, fatigue or restlessness.

Yes, that is like acupressure. It has been used on cancer patients to help with fatigue, depression, sleep, etc. It was noted that babies suck their thumbs, which interestingly helps ease anxiety, and our middle finger is the one that we focus on for anger, funny because we use it to "shoot birds" at people when we are angry.

I'm going to read more about this finger thing, but the article says to choose which finger you need to work on based on the emotion you are feeling, hold onto it for 2 to 5 minutes or until you feel your pulse in the finger, and that's it, although sometimes you may not feel your pulse...can be done anywhere.
