Just some songs I felt compelled to share with everyone. Feel free to share songs back. Music is a language and I enjoy connecting to others through it.
Algamation Choir "Ksentia tou Erota (Giorgos Kalogirou)
Ecstatic Dance w/ Sophie Sôfrēē, Mana Mei & Layla El Khadri "Dance of the Moon"
Ecstatic dance is a free form of dance with the goal to achieve ecstasy. This is a natural state in which your awareness shifts and you get to experience a meditative and happy state of mind through body movement. Besides the fact that it is a lot of fun to move your body to music, Ecstatic Dance is also scientifically proven to help your mental & physical health.
Seikilo Ancient World Music "Fleur du Désert"
A flower lonely standing amidst nothing but sand and more sand… — Frigord the Weird "Fleur du désert" is an original composition based on the collaboration of four musicians and the convergence of ancient and modern musical instruments: the ancient lyre, the handpan, the ancient duduk, and the double bass. It is a song dedicated to the desert rose, a special flower that blooms against all odds. It is considered a timeless symbol of strength and hope, with its story being lost in the mists of ancient tales. An ancient melody of secrecy and miracles, dedicated to this very tale. Theodore Koumartzis plays on a LUTHIEROS Lyre of Orpheus, masterfully handcrafted for him in Greece by the LUTHIEROS family. Sandy Mango plays on a Sympan handpan, while Sokrates Votskos and Linos Tzelos perform on the ancient duduk and the double bass respectively.
Kalandra "Brave New World"
Alweya & Moses Boyd "The Code"
Nahko & Medicine For The People "Love Letters To God"
Another emotionally intense song for those sensitive to them.
This was supposed to be on the post above but I think it was accidentally deleted during an edit. Its a folk song about a woman who, through pain and suffering, becomes the vengeful witch of the highest mountain of Crete. This is an intensely emotionally song so if you are sensitive to emotions you might want to ground yourself first. (^_^) Enjoy.
Dafne Kritharas "Ο Περιστερώνας /O Peristeronas" (Make sure you turn subtitles on so you can see the lyric translation.) "The Pigeon"
