The Path of my life

I have been sitting and thinking about things over the past couple of months.  I am hoping somewhere I get the answers I seek.

As a child I was prone to anger and quick to solve problems with my fists.  I had always believed that my path was that of a warrior, defending what is mine and helping those in need.  But when I hit my 20's something happened.  I started being able to communicate with spirits and seeing spirits around me.  I had found out that this was passed on from my mother's side of the family, as her and my grandmother had seen ghosts.  I had always felt that I could see them, but I had often thought it was my imagination. I have talked to dead relatives in my sleep and have seen shadow people around me.  Sometimes I can see images of the past in certain areas.

A couple of years ago I was in Oklahoma and I was told by a shaman that I have three totem animals around me:  the Buffalo, the wolf and the hawk.  I have seen them before and have felt their presence around me.  I have spoken to them in dreams and I have heard them when I am awake.  

My daughter has the ability to speak to the dead and now I feel that my path is one of a teacher.  I am not sure what is going on or what I am supposed to do.  I have felt that I need to find a shaman to teach me, but even then I am not sure if this is what I am to do or not.

I seek answers for these questions and any answers would  be helpful.

Scott, we are in the Age of Aquarius now. This is the age of awakening. Guess what? You & your daughter are awakening! Yayayayya, that's a good thing. Being filled with anger & solving things with your fist doesn't mean your a warrior. It could mean that you had to learn & deal with things on a more spiritual level. A true warrior uses physical battle as a last resort, not the only one

As for seeing & speaking to spirits, that is a beautiful gift & it would do you both a world of good to know how to deal with it & use it for good & to help yourselves & others. As for a shaman to teach you, we'll I would love one too but I have my spirits & they teache me. Try & rely on your spirit guides, that's why they are there. Many claim to be "shaman" & not many are. Your spirit animals/totems reveale themselves to you when you are receptive to them. Your dream was exactly that, a revelation/ introduction. Try to meditate & call them to you, so they may help you & guide you. Namaste

Sometimes I ask my daughter is she has sensed anything and she usually tells me if she does or not.  Last summer we went to the Lincoln tomb in Springfield IL and she had seen the President standing near his crypt.  I didn't see anything but I felt more at the museum.  I will try to meditate and see what I can uncover.

when I read the words "find a shaman to teach me"... it clicked in a total "YES, DO THAT"... I strongly urge you to do just that. Find a shaman to teach you!

Finding one has always been a priority, just one that has hit a few snags.  I did join the Shaman group here and hope to find one there.
