Colors of the Season:
The leaves have fallen (or should be falling) and the colors are becoming dark. Use rich, deep colors. Ethereal colors are also highly welcomed as well due to the fact that Samhain is heavily based in spirits and the deceased.

Everything around is either dying or hibernating/migrating, plants, animals, and the such are becoming scarce as they hide from the impending winter.

- Ancestral Ties (pictures/homemade objects/shrine cover)
The Harvest Ends:
Whatever is in harvest during the month of October can be placed on your altar.
- Squash
