Why as humans to we need to be perfect?

 why do we as humans have a need for perfection? Do we thrive on judging others or labeling others and making them feel less than ourselves. If so are we better off or worse off than the one who isin't perfect. Does it make us perfect. Perfection is an obsession for some to the point where they can't think of anything else in life. It's also there misery! There constant obsession with perfection is there focal point that they become the ideal perfect human. within our society perfection is such an obsession that we aren't  tall enough or if we are not blond enough for the scene actors are cast off.of the scene. The director says oh you won't get this scene because your too short or your hair is a different color. Judgement is placed on the individual. why do we have such and obsession with perfection just because there not the right color or the right religion or whatever it is. then that person that they judged is lost and if they come back to that person that they judged  will never be the same. it's really sad as individuals we need to judge others no matter if your an empath or not. it's just wrong in my eyes. We should be given a second chance and not stand on the plank and lower to our deaths because someone says you are this and you can't do this. its sickens me that some people are like that.

This sounds like the things we all need to surrender to become enlightened, but this seems to be life, learning to accept things beyond our control, in an "as is" fashion!!!

I liked the way you described perfect, fenz...

When One lets loose of any negative energy attached to them, and choose to no longer judge neither themself nor anyone they meet, everything becomes open where as it may have seemed closed before. One may realize that All is in perfect order before anybody even tried to make it perfect in the first place. All is in perfect Balance, and there needn't judgement for One to be Happy, or "perfect."

 

Ghostgirl, perhaps the judgments are a manifestation of the judgments you have placed upon yourself. Allow yourself to open to what may look like criticism at first. Eventually, you may find there is more than sadness in other's opinions or acts. Most of us are here trying to help, to serve our own purpose, and encouraging others to serve their purpose as well. Life is a journey of discovery, and Self-Discovery. I encourage you to accept yourself and accept others. I believe that You might find someone or something completely worth all the sadness this whole time.

I once did not see myself as someone "perfect." But now I've realized there is no right or wrong, and no real difference between Personal Truth and Experience. I also encourage you to release any feelings you need to, I used to feel much of what you described, before realizing that the barriers I've encountered are the ones inside of myself. Believe in You! Though it may not look like a Loving response, I do feel much compassion for what you feel, Ghostgirl, and I would like to help if there is a way that I can!

I do totally agree with what you have shared, but wanted to add that for some people there is an acceptance on a personal level, and the acceptance is where power is drawn into a person. As there is as you indicate no real right and wrong for life, just lessons for us to learn and emotions for us to Ride Through Events in an otherwise Strange set of events we call Life. And true power seems to come from handling strong emotions... But in this life I am anatomically considered a male, and me sharing strong emotions across the Yin Yang balance, leaves the door open for people to question my motives of being too kind, and personal motives... So there is only so much help and affirmation that seems safe to offer without being questioned

Thanks for your comment, Bruce. Yes, I realize there is only so much help that can seem "safe" to offer. To answer any question as to my motives for desire to help Ghostgirl, it is that I have experienced being both an Empath and a Psychic Vampire. I have learned the lesson in that being a vampire is harmful to more than others, but also to your own Soul. Replacing the feeling that I've been given with a feeling I believe is more positive, is very important to me. My mother is an emotional vampire, and my Father & I have learned how to balance out her needs. She does not want to be saved, but for karmic bond, we must stay & continue to help her, for without us, she would be preying on others who may not be as strong as we are.

 

I realize I cannot help anyone who is not looking for help, and I also realize that I do not have the solution to anyone's but my own Life...

This is my care, my desire to help someone in need. And as I read her words, it felt to me that my experience may be of some hope.

I must replace "Replacing the feeling that I've been given with a feeling I believe is more positive, is very important to me." with "Reciprocating the feeling I've been given with any Love & Understanding, or Light, to my best ability, is very important to me." Sometimes a person needs a Light to flood the floor, or sometimes all someone needs is a Shadow, if the Light is too bright to face.

In either case, my intentions are always with hopes to help. Without any need to actually force change, I trust that what I choose to say to another can and will have some effect. I do not desire to change anything, I desire to share an understanding on some level... I've been rejected & judged plenty in my Life, and it doesn't seem any good if you feel alone on top of it. so here I am, to say to Ghostgirl that she is not alone.

I only expressed my reasons for why I do not provide comfort and advice and approval in one fail swoop... There is nothing wrong with you or your intentions, from my preceptions... I know I can only deliver so much in the way of help, in the short period, as some people have provided me with grief, back when I felt the projection of this... 

And for the record every human is to some degree capable of being a spiritual vampire... The real question is how much carnage do we leave in our wake before we know the truth and see the interconnectedness of emotions to everything....  I have had massive personal experience with spirit vampires and understand I am no different, I just choose to not use this energy for personal motives.  Yes I train animals and communicate with nature with the spiritual energy exchange, but not with control, but for awareness issues. 

And people who constantly take spiritual energy from others past the point of what seems unhealthy from what I would not do, is just that, neither right or wrong, or my business. 

So please accept my sincere apology, as I did not think you were anything less than helpful and merely want to agree, as I felt your were had it covered. But my initial post did seem like I was uncaring, and wanted to explain this.

No worries, Bruce, I agree, there are lots of people who choose to use the energy they receive for their own personal needs, and in some cases, that's okay with me now.. Because I also understand that taking this spiritual energy without giving back anything is very unhealthy both ways.

I have given up on being accepted a long time ago.  I will never be up to par with society's qualifications.  I am used to being regected for not being perfect.  But the funny part is that no one is.  They are judging me due to the flaws that they see in themselves.  We are taught to judge other from a young age.  We are also conditioned with there beliefs from childhood.  We are taught that our beliefs are right and everyone else is wrong.  I want to study and shape my own beliefs outsider I maybe but a happy one.

You are very correct here and even the way people speak and compose writings, there is approval and disapproval. Very few have seemed to see the difference in neutral speech or to say things without what I call push

May I offer that we by just seeing this are further along than the ones who are unaware of this happens...  As this is where we learn to see that as humans, our way of thinking is embedded with things that are very unhealthy for our being

I sort of feel the reasons for others desiring perfection is we have been programmed that way by what our instructors have shared with us, and we are slow to awaken to the society based idea of perfection... There were a group of people who were labeled the ones to take down this old system of power structure, they have been called Indigo Children, for the most part... They are nonconformists who see the problems with things and and the control society tries to implement upon people...

The control go from artificial supply and demand of Diamonds to the scaled up dimensions of a Barbie doll, and the concept of money is security... But this all feeds on our fears of what we are and our adequacy or desire to be more than we are, and we compare to that of an athlete in our desires... We pay Millions of dollars per year for sports celebrities and School teachers barely scrape by and hold in frustration of a thankless job...  So we all tend to vote with our desires, and this seems to be the thrill of life is most desired by humans... When is the last time an Elementary School teacher received the praise or honor of an NFL player.. Not to mention the pay.... So yeah we have all been slow boiled in the pot like frogs
