Hi, 

I am Danny and I was invited to this site a couple of days ago via Twitter. Please forgive me for not introducing myself ealrier. Samhain and a poorly cat (bad teeth that needed removing. He is on the mend now) has kept me busy.

 

I am interested in Shamanism and Paganism. I followed a Celtic Shamanic path for many years and in recent years I have taken a larger interest in Shamanic practises of other cultures. Things have been quite with me on that front for some time however with the approaching Samhain I have found things moving again. The usual periods of rebirth, growth, stagnation and death ready to restart the cycle.

 

I am in Liverpool UK and live with my wife and seven cats. Reiki is another passion of mine and I have a level 2 attunement. When I can I can I will go for my master level. My other passions are model making, motorbikes, and miniature gaming, For my sins I run a tabletop gaming forum. I like Sci-Fi and Post Apocalyptic fiction/movies too.

 I have had a mooch about and I like what I see here. Thankyou for your warm welcomes.

Hey Danny, thanks for sharing a bit more about yourself and saying hi! There are a number of people here with common interests I think you`ll be able to relate to. There are a lot of related groups which would be a good place to start making more connections. :)

Hope your kitty heals quickly and well from his dental surgery! We have 4 cats in our family, and 2 pug/boston terrier dogs. I know how much care and time they can require, they're members of the family after all, like perpetual kids. Lots of animal lovers here too, we have a pet group, activism group, etc. :)

Glad you're enjoying yourself here so far, and looking forward to sharing with you here and there on the site in times to come!

My name is Laura.  I am married to Danny Stevenson (also on here).  My main interests are music, reading and football.  I have seven crazy but lovely cats who constantly entertain and amuse me.  I go to an awful lot of gigs and enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

 

I am also interested in vampires, ghosts, tarot, dream meanings and generally anything spooky or gothic.

Hi Laura, I love cats too and music! I have so many cats and musical instruments I cant count them! cats come and go, mine, neighbours , and adopted ones, and instruments do the same lol!! In fact the only thing I CAN count is my six children, and at the moment they come and go too as I havent been well with chronic illness, but Im trying to remain positive and am seeking various ways to 'cure' myself, or at least learn to live with it and adapt to living differently until such time as I improve. All things occult have interested me from childhood, and Ive had a few experiences with the paranormal over the years. I also love science - I remain open-minded and believe there's many things that science cannot yet explain or even knows about.....Nice to meet you, and yes this is a great site, thanks to Leila for creating it! Lovely to meet you too.  We seem to have quite a lot in common which is nice.  Six children? That must be crazy but loads of fun.  Sadly, I am unable to have kids, but I seem to make up for it with cats!!  Sorry to hear about your illness.  Coping with something like that is so frustrating at times.  You just have to take it one day at a time don't you?  I have a disability from birth and have recently been diagnosed with kidney failiure, so I sympathise with you.  I love science too.  I always wanted to be a forensic scientist but didn't get the right grades in chemistry.  Anyway, hope you are keeping well and thank you for your message.  Bright Blessings to you!

Hi Laura, thanks for you reply, Im bottle feeding wee kittens at the moment- it's wonderful watching them suckle on the bottle with their wee ears twitching (they  were aboandoned by their mother- which is maybe not so surprising as I was told she was locked out of the shed where her young were kept locked in by themselves all night?? I dont know but that might have something to do with it  or not- any way several of them died ( surely as they werent getting fed enough any way being locked away from their mother by someone ignorant of their needs and who didnt care.) Keeping me very busy indeed  along with all my other bigger kittens and cats- my tiny kittens think my furry slipper is their mother LOL!!! :D  and they havent yet learned that my leg is not a tree stump to claw their way up!!!!
