 5 - The Hierophant/Faith (Dealing with other's beliefs)

 

If "you are what you eat" than the term "the suit makes the man" also holds some truth, too...to a point. In this life we will encounter many types of people, all who have many types of beliefs deep in their hearts.

■Some believe in a God...some do not
 ■Some believe in love in all it's forms and flavors....some do not
 ■Some will tell you what they know will better your life, as it has for them....and some will remain quiet

The point is it is unavoidable to NOT at some point in the day have to converse, cooperate, or engage with people who do not share your belief values. We do this at work, school, shopping...even within our own family unit. So how do we do this?  

The Hierophant card in tarot (or also known as Faith) is a chapter in the Fool's journey where she has dealt with learning about who she is inside, and is now ready to face others along the path who are Fools like her. This is crucial for learning people skills, making friends, and eventually finding a lover. But how do we do this without compromising our own beliefs?

...we wear the fur of the society's animal to fit into the pack...just like putting on work clothes to go to work....you are still YOU inside...but now more approachable. Let them see you are a friendly person, have an interest in getting along for a common purpose, such as work projects,etc....and make them feel at easy to 'sniff' you as not a threat to changing their beliefs either.

We all share this planet...but we DON'T have to share all our beliefs ! There is a fine line of being friendly and neighborly.....and being dogmatic and restrictive.

Let them see you as a passive sheep...but know you are still THE WOLF in your heart !
