A few nights ago on How the Universe Works, one of the things they discussed besides the Big Bang and the birth of the Universe is the theory that the Universe is still expanding, and not even a universe at all, but a multi-verse. I got to thinking about it and realized that this must be where all the planes of existence of magick and the Craft are. The Urkutsk shamans of Siberia have their Ugabuga, the Maya have their Zuvaiya,, the Aztecs and Yaquis have their Nagual, the Norse have their Asgard and the rest of the 9 worlds, and the Celts have their Otherworld. We have the astral that we go to when we astral travel. Perhaps these are all universes that run into ours. In the beginning, according to Uncle Al, was just a tiny point of light, which was Hadit, and all around hir was the empty black space that was Nuit. Then something sparked Hadit, and everything was created. Science and magick are not as far apart as people once thought. Nor are they in opposition. They’re complementary, and so, operate using laws that are little known or understood by scientists.
The multiverse hypothesis is still just that, a hypothesis; scientists haven’t found even enough evidence to make it into anything so solid as a theory, like the theory of evolution, but the mathematics seem to bear it out. I got to thinking about it, and all the realms available to magick practitioners all over this planet, and if there is intelligent life elsewhere in this universe, it is quite conceivable that they also have gone or are going through a magickal phase, that they too would have these magickal realms which could well be in another universe that regularly bleeds through into their universe. And so it goes on and on. It’s not magick versus science at all; it’s magick and science, as it should be. It’s only our one-track minds as limited humans which decree things must be either/or, not yes/and.

Glad you liked it, Mystic. I get ideas for stories from How the Universe Works. Am now working on a story about 3 star systems that wandered into our galaxy, darn if several months later I didn't hear a news item about 13 stars that wandered into our galaxy.
WOW, great write Tedgwedd, I also enjoy How The Universe Works. It makes you think a lot about this universe in which we are in. In many ways, I too believe in a multi-verse which makes it fascinitating and I look for more updated versions.
