Many years ago I belonged to a Ning web group that primarily discussed the struggles of being an empath, which I am, as well as many other subjects. Unfortunately the person who created the site found that it was both time and cost prohibitive so she shut it down and moved it to facebook. 

     I came to love that site over the years that I belonged and participated in many of the group discussions. I can not state how much I learned by actively interacting with everyone's discussions and comments about what I consider the astral spirit world. It was the first time in my life that I felt like I was at home with people who I felt belonged to, let's say, my tribe. I made lasting friendships that I still have on other social media sites. And it was fun. And I felt protected and at home with in those electronic walls. Where as facebook leaves my empathic self feeling exposed and vulnerable even if the group is set at private.

     The kinds of subjects that these sites cover are not your standard fare for open discussions out in what many of us refer to as the real (?) world. I looked forward everyday to logging in to experience what people all over the world had to say about my experiences as well as my thoughts about theirs.

     And this is why I find it very strange after going through some of the members on this site and realizing that many of you are new here like myself. I assume you came here for the same reasons I did both now, and back then. These sites are amazing at waking up your inner spirit and homing it in on what we all feel is a new age that has already begun to become a reality for those that have opened their hearts and souls to an ultimate source of light love and understanding.

     I'm imploring those of you who are new here, and even those of you who have belonged for many years, to become more active with this site. Together we have so much to offer each other if we just take a few minutes each day, or week, to share our experiences and offer our knowledge to a plane of existence that we all are striving to learn about and achieve. You can be a teacher and a student all at the same time!

I aim to take you up on your invitation, Bill.  I joined the Temple years ago, was active for a time, and then fell away as mundane responsibilities overtook most of my time.  I've very recently felt the call back, and am eager to become involved again. 

And - surprise, surprise - your invite was the first post I saw upon my return!

Yes I do agree with you on this fact. Though Meta is trying to censor too many minds in its vision for dominance itself, which is the cause of its downfall. It wants to track things that it cannot sustain.

Thanks for the comments Sai-Bot and Sirian. I would love it if this site would feature this Blog so it could reach more of the members. But I'm certainly not finished trying to bring people back to these kinds of forums. Meta/facebook even now is starting to lose it's dominance in the world of social media.

Yes I must say I agree with you. However the platform in which this site is built upon, does not seem able to notify others when new posts come. I have to be online and searching activity feeds manually for these to get any traction. And I am glad I did so because you make a lot of sense. And in its highest potential, you are right. Forums of back and fourth like minded conversation really do appropriate, validate, educate and inspire, as well as ground and innovate the very people we meet. There is a special kind of energy here that is so seldom seen where either boxes too narrow for us to fully fit inside of, or too wide to be truly noticed, are built around us to try to contain our spirit. the ones that grow with us, and are open to just the right people. For them to come along and embrace who we are in the moment, that takes true magic to fulfill such a need. And it is a desire that so few now get to experience, with the diversity of options and choices available through the human psyche. Still, it is in faith of the soul that I trust to guide me to those who can promote healing and passionate through their very presence.
