But seriously folks...

It's like The Go-Gos once said " You can't stop the world but it might stop you." And that's sort of my theme here. That is, continue to be who you set out to be but don't expect the world to be sympathetic to your plan. I had to create my own "native life" over the years as there is not too much out there  that I care to be associated with. I checked 'em ALL out and even believed in a few. I got REAL bitter for quite a while, lost my mind and finally said " God (or the Big IS or whatever), I haven't got the slightest idea what "You" are up to but until I'm ready for the Blinding Light I'll be painting and playing my guitar and trying to be a good man."  (Or words to that effect, it probably wasn't  too poetic) I aspire to Spirit still but I don't have the strength nor feel the necessity to " storm the gates of Heaven with violence.." for answers anymore. I believe there is a Love bigger than our concepts of Love could ever contain but Hate (including my own) is what the old Catholics called " a sorrowful mystery."  

This is not turning into the fluff piece I thought it would.  LOL

It is painfully obvious that the hands that feed us don't have our best interests at heart but THEY have almost ALL the ways and means (for now) so we're kind of under the lion's paw, as it were. ( There is a brilliant short story entitled "Under the Lion's Paw" by Hamlin Garland (?) which illustrates this dilemna beautifully.)

But take heart, you still have enough freedom and hopefully gumption ( Yeah, I used the word gumption ) to turn the heinous tide. Just be careful not to be distracted or discouraged by the vast amounts of bullshit you encounter. KNOWING it's bullshit is a victory in itself.
