"Harmony of the couple"

   They say it takes a lot to make it to a 50 year golden anniversary in marriage. Two separate people with two separate views...two separate likes and dislikes...two separate lives trying to survive as "ONE" married couple. Nowadays this is even more of an achievement with divorce as prevalent as a bag of chips in your local supermarket...just walk in throw a "bag of separation" on the register if things just don't work out right ! 

   Harmony is what the 10 of Water (Cups) is all about in the Osho Zen Tarot deck...much like a successful marriage. Harmony between the heart and "third eye" is shown playfully as two dolphins swimming together naturally as mates in their habitat...just as a married couple of 50 years. They just "get" one another...no rhyme...no reason....they just "do". It's because of all the time they have spent together sharing their thoughts and feelings, their fears and their triumphs. If we wish to understand our ability to "tune in" to our inner world within us...to hear our inner voice and understand the peace there waiting to flow over us, then we must be shown the way by...you guessed it....OURSELVES ! No one can explain the peace they experience once their heart and mind are in harmony...you must feel it for yourself. 

  Just as the elder couple here are at peace with one another, so must each one of us be within ourselves. If you asked their secrets to marital bliss, they would probably respond, "Lots and lots of patience...a ton of listening...an open heart for receiving...and a fondness for giving". When we wish to connect to our heart and to our inner power (or third eye), there is a different formula for everyone. No "right way" is for everyone, since we are all different and at different levels of spirituality. For some...their inner voice may be easily understood, but hard to follow due to fear or immaturity. For others, that voice may not even be heard at all at first..but the feeling is there of a path to follow. Whatever the way we connect our mind and heart as one, surely the commonality between all of them would be "HARMONY". As the 50 year married couple needs no words to express their love anymore, so we should be as with our inner voice. Follow your heart by being still and listening to its beating. Try and match it's rhythm. Connect to your mind by believing the visions, pictures, and/or sensory perceptions from your heart. You will know when the two are swimming together as the dolphins in the Osho card, just as the couple from this post knows what the other is thinking without saying a word !

  When you have linked the two there will be nothing left to say, for words will have no meaning for the connection you will have achieved. A new world will have opened up for you...
