Why I wish to join The Temple & how I found out about it...
I'm drawn to The Temple because I'm seeking a deeper understanding of personal growth, awareness, and meaningful connection with others on a similar path. I value spaces that are built on trust, insight, and shared experience — and from what I’ve seen, The Temple offers exactly that. I’m interested in learning, contributing, and exploring ideas in a focused and respectful environment.
Which spiritual path do you follow?
I wouldn’t say I follow one specific spiritual path in a traditional sense. I’m more of a seeker — open to exploring different philosophies, traditions, and experiences that resonate with me. I draw inspiration from various sources, including mindfulness practices, nature-based wisdom, and introspective work. What matters most to me is living with intention, staying curious, and connecting to something greater than myself — however that may reveal itself.
About Myself & My Interests...
I'm someone who values depth, self-exploration, and meaningful connection. I’m drawn to spaces where people are curious, open-minded, and committed to growing — both inwardly and outwardly.

My interests include meditation, philosophy, symbolism, and the study of consciousness. I also enjoy journaling, reading about different spiritual traditions, and spending time in nature. I’m here to learn from others, share what I can, and participate in thoughtful conversations that nourish insight and awareness.
My Teachers & Influences, What was it about them that influenced me?
I’ve been influenced by a variety of teachers — both living and long gone. Authors like Alan Watts and Ram Dass helped me shift my perspective on identity, impermanence, and presence. Carl Jung’s work opened my eyes to the symbolic language of the psyche and the importance of shadow integration.

In less formal ways, I've also been shaped by quiet teachers — people who embodied compassion, self-awareness, or a deep calm just by how they moved through the world. What influenced me most wasn’t what they said, but the way they lived: with clarity, humility, and an inner steadiness that made me pause and reflect on my own path.
Authors and/or Books I appreciate:
lan Watts – The Wisdom of Insecurity
His ability to bridge Eastern philosophy with Western language helped me see impermanence and presence in a new way.

Ram Dass – Be Here Now
Both a spiritual guide and a human being navigating ego, his honesty and humor made the path feel accessible.

Carl Jung – Man and His Symbols
Jung’s exploration of archetypes and the unconscious continues to influence how I view dreams, shadow work, and personal growth.

Thich Nhat Hanh – Peace Is Every Step
His gentle wisdom and focus on mindfulness in everyday life remind me that spirituality isn’t something separate — it’s how we breathe, listen, and walk.

Marion Woodman – Addicted to Perfection
Her work on feminine consciousness, embodiment, and emotional healing has had a quiet but lasting impact.
Musicians and/or Music I appreciate:
Nils Frahm – for his meditative, minimalist piano compositions

Dead Can Dance – their music feels ancient, ritualistic, and otherworldly

Lisa Gerrard – especially her non-lyrical vocal work, which speaks straight to the soul

Hildegard von Bingen – timeless chants that carry a kind of sacred resonance

Sigur Rós – for their ethereal soundscapes and emotional intensity

Deva Premal & Miten – for mantra-based music that brings calm and focus

Jóhann Jóhannsson – cinematic, melancholic, and deeply moving
Films and/or Film-Makers & Actors I appreciate:
Terrence Malick – The Tree of Life, The Thin Red Line
His films feel like visual meditations — poetic, fragmented, spiritual.

Andrei Tarkovsky – Stalker, The Mirror, Solaris
His work invites contemplation and surrender. He treats time, memory, and the sacred with extraordinary care.

Wong Kar-Wai – In the Mood for Love, 2046
His films ache with beauty, longing, and the quiet spaces between people.

Alejandro Jodorowsky – The Holy Mountain
Surreal, symbolic, unapologetically alchemical.

Charlotte Gainsbourg (as actor and director) – for her vulnerability and presence.

Cate Blanchett – I admire her range and ability to disappear into both mythic and grounded roles.
Artists and/or Art I appreciate:
Leonora Carrington – Her surrealist paintings are like dream portals, rich with myth, animals, and alchemical symbols.

Hilma af Klint – Long before abstract art became popular, she painted mystical geometries inspired by spiritual visions. Her work feels like meditation in color.

William Blake – His integration of poetry, mysticism, and visionary illustration continues to inspire.

Remedios Varo – For her finely detailed, esoteric scenes that explore inner landscapes and magical transformation.

Mark Rothko – Especially the darker color field paintings — they feel like spaces to breathe, contemplate, or even pray inside.

Gustav Klimt – For his luminous, sensual depictions of human connection and sacred feminine energy.
