This transformation interpretation, accomplished by Master Carver Dereke Thomas in 1991, employs the varying strata which comprises soapstone in a most ingenious manner...and the results are astounding - to say the least.

Beliefs and Belief Systems - it never ceases to amaze me how strongly interpretations of individual and collective events can, and do, shape the very foundational core of an individual. In this particular instance, the Master Carver is demonstrating the interchangeable nature of the true Warrior's Courage and the natural state of the Bald Eagle - and the ease of actual transformation of one to the other is quite apparent...

...due to their respective majestic states being reflections of each other. For me, it simply gets no better than this rendering, for as I have indicated on occasion - in this kind of world, everything is a reflection of everything else...and it can be no other way - it's what "duality" is all about.
