SUPERB Carved Ebony Portrait Bust ca (?) by Master Artist Raza Mahenina

One of the most impressive examples of wood carving mastery I have ever had the privilege of encountering…barring none. This artistic achievement realized with an unbelievable measure of attention to detailing is, to me, more than breathtaking. This masterwork is simply creativity and "becoming One with the chosen artistic medium" at its very best.

Although the term “Sakalava” (a province in the northern portion of Madagascar) accompanies the artist's engraved signature on the reverse of this sculpture, I can find absolutely no information whatsoever referencing this Master Artist…
