Fairy Rings? You Decide!

     My dad and step mother bought a property in Coupeville Washington many years ago and built a house thier. The lot next door was, and remains vacant. Years after my folks moved in these rings began to form next door on the vacant lot and nowhere else on any other lot. I did research there possible cause but was never satisfied with the answers that I got. One possible cause that I was given is that these lots had been orchards at one time that had used fertilizer for the apple and pear trees. And after the trees were removed a fungus may have caused these strange circles? 

     At one point one of the smaller circles had mushrooms growing all around its perimeter and looked exactly like what a Fairy Ring is depicted as in other photos and paintings that I have seen from the past. Unfortunately I don't have a photo of that ring though I wish I did. Needless to say, I wouldn't enter any of these rings without asking permission first. And every time I did an eagle would appear in the sky and fly over me. I took that as a yes that I could enter safely. My stepmother is English and my heritage is Scottish. Fairy country.

     After about two years these rings faded away. And have never returned! Does anyone have an idea what may have caused these rings or are they true Fairy Rings?
