In marked contrast to the medieval imagery of 'righteous ' Knights spearing Dragons with assorted weapons and all of the other depictions of the heroes 'slaying' the Dragon of the Goddess and of Nature; one can clearly see throughout all of the images of Apep and the Divinities that instead of a sword, or other formidable weapon of the 'dragon slayer', there is but a thin staff of metal in the hands of the Gods, or alternatively, feather-shaped blades with which the Divinities appear to draw the lifeblood or vital energy of the Serpent.

Sutekh is often portrayed along with the other Divinities of Ancient Egypt directing the primal energies and forces of Nature, represented by Apophis.

Set uses a magickal staff to these beneficent ends. These images were given false and incorrect meanings by the early Patriarchal establishment and were falsely used to symbolize the 'slaying' of the Dragon of the Goddess and Pagan Spirituality, the God of Nature - and the Old Ways - by the Medieval Religions as time progressed.

The serpent represents the cosmic energies necessary to maintain the progress of the Nun Boat across the heavens, day and night. Apophis is always underneath the boat; under the firmament, as the Chthonic or Underworld serpent of Earth and Water

The Winged Serpent blesses Ra-Sobek, Thoth and Maat;  while Apep propels the heavenly barge, guided by Anpu and Upuaut and the Asps or Heavenly Serpents of Air and Fire.

In this image Sutekh directs Apep with the Serpent Staff, as Ra looks on.

It appears as if a  direct current of energy is passing between Sutekh and Apep.

Maat takes the form of the bird at the helm of the boat, the balancing female aspect of the Divine, with energetic cords linked to Apep. Re-Harakhty appears as a god with the visage of a falcon, as does Heru. The Asp, or Heavenly Serpent encircles the Disc of Life on the crown of Ra.

Various Divinities including Bastet, Anpu and Sutekh Himself in the form of a Hare, are depicted cutting into Apophis and drawing blood.

And, wherever the blood spilt, so the trees of life grew in fruitfulness and abundance.

The Serpent's blood is poured out upon the Earth to propitiate life. Never can the serpent be slain though, as without the primal energies and forces of Nature, nix could love or grow.

In the following scene of the Tuat, the Serpent energies are being channelled and concentrated by the Goddesses using magickal blades.

In the middle panel, the Dragon has a rider, and the Ba birds, or Soul Birds follow along. In the upper panel, the Goddess is encircled by the serpent in a similar way to that in which Ra and the other Gods are as portrayed riding on board the Celestial Nun Boat.

The Goddess Wadjit is depicted above in the image of the sacred Asp.

The Tuat, or Underworld, is not the Coptic Hell. It is the place of purification, rest and rejuvenation before life begins again in a new form; and the Chthonic Serpent is a help to the dead, not a hindrance. Those needing to learn lessons will be taught correctly before resuming their individual course to oneness with Divinity, in the next incarnation as a soul living on Earth or elsewhere.

The Blessed Dead live forever face to face in the Sekhet Aaru, the Heavenly Afterworld, or Summerlands with their Goddesses and Gods, and become as the Divinities, sharing their food and drinking their drink and wearing the same garments. The Blessed Dead are identified implicitly with the Gods.

Originally  regarded as the Great Serpent of Earth and Waters; from the Late Dynasties onwards Apep was to be portrayed as an evil entity and the Tuat, or Netherworld was incorrectly believed to as a place of terrible punishments and torments. The Copts, or early Egyptian Christians appropriated these much-amended patriarchal tales of fearsome crocodiles, demonic type 'goddesses' and other fanciful creatures of hell and these were adapted further within the fear-based theologies.

Ever since the beginnings though, humankind has venerated The Serpent .

In this image from Pompeii, the Agathadaemon, or Good, beneficent guiding and tutelar spirit of humankind, is depicted in the image of a serpent. This image perfectly demonstrates the traditional relationship between people and serpent. It is a harmonious one, and not antagonistic.

The presiding Spirit of any area is known as the Genius Loci. Note that the Chthonic Serpent is below the firmament, and compare this image with the images of the Nun Boat.

The ancient San, also called The People or colloquially the Bushmen of Southern Africa, knew about the Boat and the energy which propels it.

In the old days, the vessel was directed by Ancient Mariners

How is your own boat steered, Captain?

The Serpent is often portrayed as coiled in a very unusual way, and the manner in which the serpent is

coiled is reminiscent of electrical circuitry. However, Natural, renewable bio-energies are non-antagonistic and if channeled correctly, very safe on people and the environment.

Unlike expensive hydroelectric schemes and melting nuclear reactors, or the stripping of non-renewable natural resources to feed polluting industries.

Dragon's Breath is a term used to describe the natural forces and energies of the Earth.

The ancients mapped out the flow of the Dragon's Breath.

All Pyramids and Obelisks are reminders of the ancient Serpent Worship of the Ancestors.. The Serpent science was universal, and thus the Serpent is at the core of all forms of religion and spirituality.

Isis is the Mistress of the Pyramids, and so Ophites have always worshipped the Great Goddess of Ten Thousand Names. Set is second only to Isis in magick; and is the Serpent God, the Dragon of the Goddess

Set is the consort of the Goddess Taweret.

Taweret is the Goddess of Childbirth, and the protectress of pregnant mothers and newborns

Taweret literally represents the mother's natural instincts to protect her children from

harm. In this, Ta-Urt is like Callisto, the Mother Bear, defending her cubs. Taweret is known as Ta-urt, also by the names of Apt and Sheput.

The ancient titles of the Goddess are Mistress of the Gods, and Bearer of the Gods.

Set is associated with many Goddesses, as the Dark half of the Divine Masculine Principle; the Yin  - the Dark Goddess as God.

Set is a Feminine God, closely involved with the child-birthing procedure; and was petitioned to assist with the Opening and Closing of the Womb ceremonies as well as with conception and anything to do with sexual issues and fertility, by primarily female devotees.

Set is the master of sex magick. His sacred colors are Red, of the Life Force and Mother Goddess; and Dark Blue, of Spirit and Crone. Set is the father of Sobek, by Nuit. Set is the God of the Red desert; the Northern Kingdom; whereas His brother Osiris is Lord of the fertile Black Southern Kingdom, Kemet.

Set is wed to Nebt-het, as the opposite and equal half of Azar and Au-set.

In Quabahlistic terms, Nebt-Het and Isis are of the Twin Pillars of the Tree of Life;

whilst  the corresponding masculine half of Divinity comprises of Set and Horus;  or Thoth and Ra.

As there are infinite creations in Nature and we are all unique, so there are infinite combinations irrespective of gender, which correspond.

Wadjet and Hapi;  Lilith and Lucifer;  Mary Magdalene and Christos;  Diana and Pan;  Demeter and Persephone; Anat and  El Elion;  Sheba and  Solomon;  ...   ...   ...

Nephthys is the helpful Goddess, ever- present in the entourage of Isis along with the Scorpion Maidens - one of whom later marries Horus.

Nephthys is the guardian of the Bennu bird of Creation, the Phoenix of Luna

(which was later re-named as Heliopolis)

Isis and Nephthys are the Twin Sisters of Light and Darkness; the Goddesses are known as the Inseparable Twin Sisters of Life and Death. Isis is the Yang; whilst Nephthys, who always works together with Isis, is the Yin; the Crone of deep wisdom.

Naturally, Set would then represent the Yin half of the Divine Masculine and Horus, the Yang in this context.
