Melting Mandalas

[Meditation - The Zen Room]

Meditation for me involves the physical act of seeing. Watching snow fall helps me to forget myself better than anything but when it's not snowing I shut off "the brain that wouldn't shut up" with slide show melting mandalas.

My form of Meditation takes place on the beach with the smell of salt air,the crashing waves and the sense that I'm home.The Ocean,the Craddle of Life is where I feel safe.The sands beneath me and the birds surrounding me,guiding me with their song.Just knowing that I'm just a tiny part of a growing family who respect the elements,the earth and all forms of life.Just knowing that my family extends beyond our clan that the sister traditions of the Gypsies everywhere can be heard through our ancestors,that my family extends to those who practice the Craft,Druid and Celt and so much more.This is what I meditate on as I close my eyes on the beach.At times I think I can sense a new dawn, a new time period where peace of mind and the coming together of many traditions and backgrounds.This gives me peace.Blessed Be

Thanks so much for your comment and insight. I mentioned to someone the other day how living in a box in an urban environment (another box of sorts) can engender a sort of Spiritual disconnect in some people (myself incvluded). I realize that Spirit can go anywhere but I, at least, am more receptive to it in places that look like they did 10.000 years ago. Be well.  marK
