A Vinotherapy Face Mask You Can Make With Stuff in Your Fridge

We’ll never miss a chance to sing the praises of red wine. It may be the healthiest adult beverage on the market, thanks to its high concentration of antioxidants and (relatively) low calorie count. And now Alexis Wolfer, founder and editor-in-chief of The Beauty Bean, is giving us one more way to reap the benefits of vino: an age-reversing face mask. Resveratrol, the same antioxidant that give red wine its antiaging power, has similar effects when applied directly to the skin. Got some left over from a party? Mix a few tablespoons into this DIY mask, which incorporates egg whites to diminish fine lines and retinol-rich yolks to renew dull skin.

Ingredients:
1 egg
1 egg yolk
3 tablespoons red wine

Instructions:
1. Whisk all ingredients together until well combined.
2. Use a pastry brush to apply a thin layer to your face, neck, and décolleté, avoiding your eye area.
3. Let dry completely before washing off with warm water and a washcloth.
