20 - Judgement ("The pot calling the kettle black")

OK...I usually don't do photos like this, but the frame was perfect for this, Pagan, so pardon my dust on this one, k?
Ever heard the phrase "The pot calling the kettle black"? It refers to putting blame or shame onto someone, when you both share some responsibility or likeness to the accusation. The pot and kettle in old times were placed over a wood stove and the 'soot' would get onto both just the same. It's that same for our baboon friend with the piece of chewed up corn.

Baboon: Hey corn ! You are one ugly piece of work !

Ear of Corn: Oh yeah...well you ain't got it going on either, Bubba !"  

How often do you get caught up in blame games with others? With your spouse? At work? School? It might start off innocently enough....a disagreement....a little miscommunication...and then....you blurt it out...

It's all your fault !

When you are quick to judge...aren't you upset when others judge you just as quickly? Don't you wish they would hear you out...listen to reason first before making a decision? Or is your choice hard and cold like this card?

Remember when you accuse someone of doing you wrong, picture yourself looking in the mirror as you speak. Watch your lips move, see how your body language reacts, and notice the words you choose (are they harsh...or do they leave room for error on your part?). We all make mistakes...and sometimes we make them by just being clumsy or foolish...not evil and vindictive.

Even when on the right side of Judgement....it is better to be less brash with those you care about (otherwise they may act the same way towards you the next time you are accused) !
