Why I wish to join The Temple & how I found out about it...: Interest in exchanging ideas with likeminded people, particularly as it pertains to magick and metaphysics. I discovered TI on Twitter a while ago, and appreciated the kinds of idea exchanges that seemed to occur in the Temple, and have finally decided to engage others in such an exchange and forego my self-enforced contemplative solitude.
About Myself & My Interests...: Conspiracy theorist. Radical metaphysician. Uncrowned Philosopher King of Nowhere.

I am interested in a formal and public reconciliation of magick, science, and analytic/phenomenological philosophy, most notably through a critical analysis of the Qabalah and its congruence with the aforementioned schools of thought.

On a more mundane level (if ever there were anything at all which were truly mundane), I enjoy lively conversation, an eclectic mix of movies and music, caffeine, and nicotine.
My Teachers & Influences, What was it about them that influenced me?: Yeshuah, better known by his Greek name Jesus, whether he be man, myth, or the Son of God. I don't claim to know.

I'm only really concerned with the teachings and actions attributed to him, not later interpretations thereof. I believe this character's primary contribution to humanity is the ethical concept of the Golden Rule, and I try to live my life by it. I suspect his earlier followers, before the appropriation of the faith by the Roman Empire, likely had a truer understanding of the teachings.

Aleister Crowley, man, myth, or prophet.

I have used Crowley as the primary authority on the formal metaphysics of magick, and have used his works, although they are intentionally obscure due to his participation within secret orders and a need to only be understood by fellow initiates, to guide my theoretical progress.

I do not subscribe to all of his professed beliefs, but believe "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law. Love is the law. Love under will," is not incompatible with Golden Rule, and holds more truth than any of its face value interpretations.

William Cooper.

Although William and I have somewhat antithetical philosophies, his knowledge of the mystery schools, their history, their dogma, and their agenda was unrivaled in the public sphere. His broadcasts are almost all excellent primers on the esoteric.
