Why I wish to join The Temple & how I found out about it...

i was impressed by an article i read on the site. i am interested in Learning more about gnostic beliefs and practices. i listen to the gnostic warrior podcast and i saw you have a link to his site. i found out about the site trough a Google search pertaing to the goddess isis.

About Myself & My Interests...

i find tranquility in silence and am most comfortable alone with my own thoughts. i have no need for television, iphones, or what social acceptance. crowds and religious people are an intolerable nuisance to me. i am not easily influenced by outside persons, but will only change my beliefs and ideas after carefully reasoning and researching new ideas for myself. i am on a journey to find truth and want to flee the ignorance of the material world. as we are spiritual beings in a material body, i believe true enlightenment exists beyond our dimension but can be attained in this life to the ones who will seek it out-as above so below/as below so above. I do not believe in coïncidence.

My Teachers & Influences, What was it about them that influenced me?

Immanuel Kant for his ethics, epistemology and teaching on logic.
Arthur Schopenhauer for his principles of reason and the world being will and idea. Ludwid Feuerbach for his teachings on the man made image of god and the futility of speculative theology.

Fight Club first and foremost, i couldn't say enough about this landmark philosophical work. Then Gladiator as a distant second. Otherwise, I really don't enjoy films and I have a strong aversion towards television.

Artists and/or Art I appreciate:

I see all of nature and creation as art. I see God as the Perfect Architect, Creator, and Artist of all worlds. Also, all of the pictures my three daughters paint and draw for me.
