It takes time for most people to get used to a new webspace and
there is lots to see and do here! I recommend you take your time
and explore all the different areas of the Temple. If you have any
questions or concerns of any nature, please feel free to contact
me at any time or visit our Support Group for info & assistance.

You're most welcome, it's great to have you here sharing with us. I know what it's like to get busy, no pressure ever to be active here, take your time, we're meant to be a sanctuary rather than another obligation in life. :) Enough of those already!

I greatly admire what you do, and wish I was in a position to do the same. We've done in the past rescue work with small dog rescue organizations, as well as many times over the year unofficially rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed animals in need. We have 4 rescue adopted cats & 2 dogs currently. In the past we've had snakes, birds, and small animals.

Have you thought about advertising somewhere like Craigslist to recruit a local teen or two that loves animals to maybe give you a hand and get involved in your rescue work? You'd think there would be people willing to volunteer.

  • Leila Raven

That's too bad that you're isolated by distance by possible volunteers. I think there may be some legal issues with you asking donations if you're unregistered if you're 501c3 non-profit registered, then I have no problem with it, and can recommend a few ways to go about it on the site.

    Sending you a little notice...

If you haven't changed your email settings, you'll have received notice of a comment from a member requesting email contact.

The comment has disappeared and is no longer here because they have been removed for spamming.

Please ignore any messages requesting private email contact from people you don't know well.

It's always better to communicate on site than respond to private email or give out your private email.

We rarely get spammers, and we boot them fast, but a few do get through now and then phishing for emails.

Apologies... and back to our regularly scheduled programming!

That's fantastic, then we're free to move ahead, and I have no issue at all with you promoting your cause here. Quite the opposite, eager to try to get you some additional support for the animals you're caring for.

There's a few groups that you could start a discussion thread on if you like, I've posted them below, or, you're also welcome to create your own group for your shelter, and then post in the related groups to let them know about your group.

I'm honoured that you feel comfortable sharing with me, thank you *hugs* I believe we all know one another from other lives.. but that we are hidden behind so many layers and masks in this world, and remember so little, that it's only occasionally that we 'recognize' each other. But that at heart, we are all family.

I understand about wanting to keep the focus on the animals, and that's wonderful. :) You can absolutely do that in any of the groups I've suggested, or start a group to share about them. I would love that. :)

The snake in your avatar is so beautiful, I love the constrictors. Such amazing animals, so serene and calm, I always find spending time with a snake is soothing and grounding, it's like they all have a very old soul, ancient energies..

I don't think that unusual at all, I think many people are very empathic, and like yourself sense what is going on with others, person and animal, very strongly.

We have an empath support group in our groups for that very thing, I think this site is drawing a fair number of emapthic people, as it has a lot of people on it that are putting out some strong centered spiritual energy.

I feel like a snake today, I have that very still reflective energy going on.. If I still had a snake in my life I would be spending time together today. Perhaps it's the full moon... :)
