What draws me to Hekate

In all honesty it is hard to say what draws me to Hekate it seems as She has been with me for a number of years now and it’s almost like She has always been there. I remember was I was still new to my path that I was always reaching out and calling for the goddess to come to me and give me a sign that She was there.

During these earlier days finding my path I always felt as if I was being pushed to search and learn on my own and that is what I did. I soon realized that the more searching I done the more I would come across and gain knowledge about the Goddess Hekate. Eventually She was the primary goddess I did research on. The more I pursued Her I began to feel Her presence within my life. All this led me to perform a ritual to call Her to me. She comes to me like a soft wind blowing upon my body and soul. It is chilling yet powerful.  Ever since that first ritual I have never doubted Her presence.

A rite for Hecate

Simply let your heart speak. There are as many rites as there are devotees. The intent is more important than the rite itself. A simple devotion will please Her more than a complicated but shallow ritual.

Have a candle in one of Her traditional colors (black, white, red, or saffron yellow), a bit of incense can be used as an offering.

My attraction to Hecate is so strong that I worry that my words would not be the right ones. I know deep within that my words could not fully express how my heart truly feels for Her. So, these are my fears so I scramble to search for the perfect saying fearing that I may displease Her.
